My Teaching Techniques and Methodology
As an English teacher, I follow a communicative and student-centered approach. My methodology is based on real-world usage of the language, encouraging students to actively use English from the very first lesson. I incorporate task-based learning, inductive grammar instruction, and a lot of interactive activities that promote speaking and listening.
I use authentic materials (videos, articles, podcasts), games, and role-plays to create an engaging learning environment. I adapt my lessons to the students’ goals—whether they are preparing for an exam, improving their conversational skills, or learning English for professional purposes.
Sample Lesson Plan (Level B1 – Intermediate)
Topic: Job Interviews in English
Duration: 90 minutes
Objectives:
Learn and practice useful vocabulary and phrases for job interviews.
Improve fluency and confidence when speaking in formal situations.
Practice listening comprehension and giving structured answers.
Structure:
Warm-up (10 min): Discuss past job interviews and experiences.
Vocabulary focus (15 min): Introduce key phrases and common interview questions.
Listening activity (15 min): Watch a short video of a job interview. Answer comprehension questions.
